What do we mean when we say "dental workforce"?  It means the total number of persons employed or employable in all areas of dentistry. This week our lesson will explore past, present and future employment opportunities for the dental hygienist. As you can see from the pie chart here, dentistry is a very small percentage of all healthcare workers.
