Chinese Scientists Edit DNA In Human Embryos
For the first time, scientists have edited DNA in human embryos, a highly controversial step long considered off-limits. Research the web and current events about this case.
There are those who strongly believe that as a human race we should never go there, while there are others that also strongly believe that the human race will benefit significantly from advancing this technology and would consider this a good and unavoidable step toward making a better human race.
From your point of view, and from a Social Informatics perspective what are the implications of pushing the use of technology and DNA manipulation?
Can and should Technology be used to reengineer the human race? Why or why not?
