Setting up your Profile
In Canvas, you have a Profile associated with your account which includes contact and other information. You can add contact information, maintain a portfolio, and configure communication preferences, such as text messaging (SMS), Facebook, or alternative email accounts, through which your instructors can communicate with you. There are two options to add a picture to your profile.
| Option 1 - Upload a Picture |

- Click the Settings link in the upper right Help Corner.
- Click on the picture (it probably looks like a grey silhouette) in the upper left corner of the page.
- Click Upload a Picture [1]
- Click the Choose File [2] button to browse your computer for the image you wish to have displayed.
- Click the Add File button to add that image to the list of available images.
- Click on the image you wish to use and click "Select Image."
- Your image should be displayed on your setting page.
- Click the blue Save button to save your changes.

| Option 2 - Take a Picture with Webcam |

- Click the Settings link in the upper right Help Corner.
- Click on the picture (it probably looks like a grey silhouette) in the upper left corner of the page.
- To take a picture, click the Take a Picture tab [1], then click the Take Picture button [2].
- When you are happy with your picture, click the blue Save button.
Note: Depending on your browser, you may need to allow Canvas to access your camera. The Take a Picture option is not supported when using Safari or Internet Explorer.
