The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Part 4 of 5 Sections)

Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin.

The text of the law reads, in part, "No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program..."

For our purposes, "any program" includes all of the activities that Renton Technical College conducts, such as teaching and learning, employment, training, student programs, and access to instructional resources.
