What is Scholar Kaleidoscope?
Scholar Kaleidoscope is a support program for 21st Century Scholars at IUPUI. It started in the Fall of 2015 and is targeted at sophomore, junior, and senior 21st Century Scholars students, but all events are open to all students, including freshmen. The goal of the program is to get students engaged with IUPUI and the surrounding Indianapolis community, as well as promoting a well-rounded co-curricular education for 21st Century Scholars students. To accomplish this, students will participate in activities and events in each of six categories: personal development; academic success; financial literacy; career development; civic engagement & community service; and culture, society, & diversity.
Attend Events - Win Prizes!
Scholar Kaleidoscope features six categories of events and activities you can attend. Attend three events in the same category over the course of the school year and win a prize like free food, a gift card, or sports tickets. Complete all six categories by the end of the spring semester and receive an awesome prize pack and special recognition at the end of the year.
How do I track my progress?
At the first Scholar Kaleidoscope event you attend, you can pick up a check sheet to keep track of your activities. Make sure to get your check sheet signed for each activity you attend, so you can get credit for your participation. Outside events and activities may also count towards your completion of the program - check with a 21st Century Scholars staff member to find out. When and where do Scholar Kaleidoscope events take place?
Events take place at varying times throughout the week. We generally have at least one event per week, and we always have at least one event per category, per month. Most events take place in UC LL in the basement of Taylor Hall.
