  1. In preparation for this discussion you will need to complete the required readings for Module 2.
  2. Next, access Breastfeeding Pharmacology Links to an external site.. Explore the website and identify over-the-counter drugs that are not expected to cause harm to a pregnant woman, fetus, or breast-feeding infant.
  3. Finally, you are to respond to this discussion topic:

Address each of the following points in your initial post. Remember: Do not just cut and paste info from a website. Be certain to use APA style. In addition to citing your text book, make sure that you include at least one additional reference to support your post (journal articles, scholarly websites, text book, etc.).

    • Discuss at least two key points related to pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, hepatic metabolism, and renal excretion) in pediatrics, infants/neonates that must be considered in order to facilitate safe medication administration.
