Lesson 1: Comuniquémonos entre naciones

Overview

Welcome back! ¡Bienvenidos! This is Spanish III, Second Semester, your last Spanish class in a series of brilliantly written Spanish online courses for high school students studying through IU High School. These award-winning, imaginative, educational, and dangerously fun courses were written by a very simple, humble, anonymous writer.

Me. Yes, me, your nameless, faceless author, who has given you una cascada de palabras bellísimas, each one more bella than the last, writing Spanish lessons the old-fashioned way. One word at a time.

Someday you’ll look back on Spanish I, II, and III, and say, “Huh?” But you won’t say, “Huh?” you’ll say, “¿Cómo?” and we will all be proud. And then you will dance. Bailar. Mucho. Speaking of bailando mucho, this lesson has Raúl and Gladys showing us around Ecuador, Perú, and Bolivia. These are amazingly beautiful countries of montañas y selvas, papas y chicha, llamas y iguanas.... Pay close attention to the bridge on page 269. Who would go first, you or your little brother?
