Overview

You are about to begin your study of advanced high school algebra. Some of you have just finished your first year of algebra, and some have completed geometry as well. This course builds upon the knowledge and skills you learned in Algebra Level I. If you have not yet completed that course, you may consider taking Math 11A and Math 12A (Algebra Level I). When you finish this course (Math 21A), you will be prepared for Math 22A, Algebra Level II: Second Semester.

Browsers and Math Fonts

This course is designed to work best in the Mozilla Firefox browser. Many of the math symbols throughout this course may not display correctly in other browsers, particularly the Chrome browser. Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox, available as a free download at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/.

To view this course properly, you will need to have MathML fonts installed. If you do not already have these installed, you will get an error message letting you know. You can find the fonts at this website: Fonts for MathML-enabled Mozilla.
