Overview

Welcome to second semester of Algebra II. Some of you have finished the first semester through IU High School, so you know your way around. Others completed the first semester in a regular classroom or other setting. Either way, this learning guide will help you answer many questions you might have as you work through the course.

This course builds upon the knowledge and skills you learned in the first semester of Algebra II. Do not hesitate to go back to the first six chapters in the textbook to review those skills when you need to. When you finish this course, you will be prepared to take trigonometry and precalculus (if you have also completed two semesters of geometry).

Browsers and Math Fonts

This course is designed to work best in the Mozilla Firefox browser. Many of the math symbols throughout this course may not display correctly in other browsers, particularly the Chrome browser. Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox, available as a free download at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/.

To view this course properly, you will need to have MathML fonts installed. If you do not already have these installed, you will get an error message letting you know. You can find the fonts at this website: Fonts for MathML-enabled Mozilla.
