Introduction
Genius SIS is the Student Information System for IU High School. It manages our admission process, processes enrollments, provides course information to students and guardians, helps students track their progress and view their transcripts, and much more.
Student Accounts
Students create their own account in Genius. Once they have an account, they have the option to apply to become a Diploma student (to eventually receive a high school degree from IUHS), register for courses (or drop courses), view their transcript, track course progress, and even access their course(s).
All coursework is done in Canvas.
Students with accounts in the previous IUHS information system should read this for help.
Guardian Accounts
Parents and Guardians can and should have their own accounts in Genius. Guardians will have their own login credentials and can get an overview of how their students are progressing in their course(s). They can also view their student's transcript or grades, enroll them in courses (or drop courses), find course time-out dates and more. If you want to be the guardian for more than one student, you will need to contact IUHS.
Parents/guardians can login at https://iuhs-genius.indiana.edu/ParentLogin.aspx

Registration
Students will normally register for courses via IU's Canvas Catalog, at https://expand.iu.edu/browse/iuhs. Use the 'Categories' menu to view only the courses you are interested in.
Diploma students can register using the Canvas Catalog, but they also have the option to request courses from within Genius, using the 'Request Courses' button.
