Accessing and Navigating the eText Platform (Engage)

Your IU eTexts title is hosted in an e-reader platform called Engage, which is the university standard. You'll see Engage in the menu of your Canvas site. Click on the link "IU eTexts (Unizin Engage)" to launch it.

If you have IU eTexts titles in more than one course, you'll see your whole virtual "library" in Engage. Your eTexts are available as long as you remain a student at IU.

Navigating within your IU eTexts title

• Access the navigation menus: Scroll to the top of the page to see the navigation menu. Scrolling down the page hides the menu.
• Zoom in and out: Open the menu on the upper-right (three small dots) and click + or - to adjust the text size. 
• Turn pages: Click the arrow bars at the far left or far right of the screen. Or use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
• Jump to chapters: Open the chapter and bookmark menu on the upper left of the screen (it looks like a list). Click on the chapter or bookmark that you want to access. 
• Jump to pages: Type the page number in the box at the upper-left corner of the screen, and press Enter.
• Search: Look for the search box in the top right corner of the screen. Click the box to type a search term to find the word within this title.
