Customized Banners

Using a banner at the top of your homepage and content pages can help brand your course and act as an orienting device for your students.

You can create a customized banner with text specific to your course by using our banner templates through Google Slides. There are 10 pre-designed options to choose from, or you can upload your own image to create a banner unique for your course.  

Instructions

  • When you click on the image below, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account if you are not already. You may use your IU Google account or your personal account—either is acceptable.
  • You will be asked if you want to make a copy of the template file. Select "make a copy." This is to protect the original file from being overwritten.
  • Select your template and add your text.
  • When you're ready, save your banner as an image by going to File > Download As > PNG image (.png, current slide)
