FA20: YOGA II: 27635
Yoga 2 is designed as more than a simple exercise class. Each class meeting will include a focused practice including physical postures, breathing, and mediation. The focus of this style of yoga is on the individual’s internal experience and increasing awareness for conscious action. There are no prerequisites for the Yoga 2 course, although completion of Yoga 1 is highly recommended. Yoga 2 focuses on application of yoga elements of pranayama (breathing), vipasana (meditation), energetics,and application for emotional and psychological balance.
Students will participate in classroom practices and complete supporting online lessons. Class assessments will measure understanding of key yoga principals and explore personal experience of yoga practice.
