No previous yoga experience is necessary. This is a great class for beginners! The style of yoga that we will be practicing is based on the individual’s internal experience and increasing awareness for conscious action.
Yoga 1 focuses on an introduction of the basics of yoga asana (movement), pranayama (breathing), vipasana (meditation), and their application for physical and emotional balance.
Guided yoga practices will include components of physical postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), and mediation (vipasana). The goal of each practice is to develop self awareness, paying attention to what is happening in your body, breath, and mind. You are focused on how the practice feels in your own body, breath, and mind.
