Jeffrey Ashby

Jeffrey Ashby is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at IU Bloomington. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from IUPUI where he focused on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS). He earned a master’s degree from the IU Fairbanks School of Public Health, with an internship at Harvard University. His research interests include the geospatial analysis and prediction of Neglected Tropical Diseases. He works to combine his geospatial skills with machine learning methods and his knowledge of public health to model and study diseases such as dengue fever and leishmaniasis in the Americas.
