Instructions
You will be incorporating clips of at least two survivors of genocide to help tell the story about what hate means. The USC Shoah Foundation iWitness Project provides thousands of hours of video recorded testimony by survivors.
Your task right now is to identify at least two survivors of genocide you are pretty sure you'd like to incorporate. You may use more than two, and you may use the testimony of a liberator as a third person [encouraged!] but the liberator does not count as testimony of a survivor.
In order to get started and get searching, register with iWitness as a student by:
- Visit http://iwitness.usc.edu/SFI/Account/StudentRegister.aspx
- Use the keycode 3812a48cab in the appropriate box, and fill in the rest of the information that is requested
- Use the search bar towards the upper right of the page to search for ideas and concepts you'd like to represent in your PSA
- Take note of the clip number listed in the search and click on the clip number to watch the clip to see if it is something you would like to use
- Click on the [Save ->] button, which will make it easier for you to return to it and use the clip later on
- Return here and enter in the name of the survivor and the clip number
Remember that you must be registered and signed in as a student, and make sure to note the username and password you are using.
