Once you have created your CourseNetworking (CN) ePortfolio, you can take it to the next level by incorporating a visual resume, tagging skills, creating advanced showcases using the HTML editor, and creating different versions of your ePortfolio for different audiences.

How to take your CN ePortfolio to the next level

Create a visual resume.

Create interest in your ePortfolio by adding visual representations of your experiences, including schools you've attended, programs you have participated in, internships and work experience, clubs, and professional organizations you are a part of. You can use these step-by-step instructions to create a visual resume on your ePortfolio.

Tag skills.

Every time you add an artifact, reflection, or create a showcase, you can tag it with a skill. This will allow viewers to see examples of your work and skills firsthand. You can also search for other CN users with the same skill set for social and professional networking. You can use these step-by-step instructions for tagging skills in your ePortfolio.

Create advanced Showcases using the HTML editor.

Showcases in the ePortfolio are a great place to demonstrate your skills and experiences in depth by adding images, videos, files, links and other multimedia. Advanced editing is possible by switching from the simple text editor to the HTML editor. Follow these step-by-step instructions to access the HTML editor and get some ideas for advanced features that will show off your work. If you haven't created a showcase yet, you can use these instructions to add showcases to your CN ePortfolio.

Create different versions of your ePortfolio.

There are many times when you might want to share some pieces (but not all) of your ePortfolio to different audience groups. For example, if you are applying for two different jobs or internships where you want to highlight different skills, or if you created a project for a client that you want to share without sharing your entire ePortfolio, or maybe you want to share different versions with different classes or even with your family. With the CN you can create multiple versions of your ePortfolio, you can choose which content appears in each version, and share the unique URL of each version with your chosen audience.
