Karl Emmert-Fees, MSPH
Karl Emmert-Fees Links to an external site. has been a research associate at the professorship of Public Health and Prevention at TUM since March 2021. In parallel, he is a doctoral researcher at the Institute of Epidemiology at the Helmholtz Zentrum München. Since 2019 he has been enrolled in the PhD program "Medical Research in Epidemiology and Public Health" of the Munich Medical Research School at LMU Munich. Previously, he earned his Master of Science in Public Health at LMU Munich.
In his PhD thesis, Karl works on the evaluation of population-based policies to reduce the health and economic burden of non-communicable diseases. Internationally, he is also involved in projects related to cardiometabolic and mental health lead by the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
