Call for emergencies, non-emergencies, or questions. This number rings directly into the IUPD dispatch center, and the dispatcher can contact IUPD Columbus officers instantly by radio.

When calling 911, be prepared to inform the dispatcher that you are on the IU Columbus campus so they can send an IUPD officer, if available.

IU Notify is Indiana University's emergency notification system for situations that present immediate danger. You can choose to receive texts, calls, and/or emails from IU Notify. Check your contact information in IU Notify to be sure your contact and campus information is up to date so that you are prepared should an incident occur.

Question mark icon Concerned about a member of the Crimson Pride?

If you are concerned about the behavior or well-being of another member our campus community, whether faculty, staff, or student, you are encouraged to make a referral to the Behavioral Consultation Team. Some of the concerns that can be shared with the BCT include:

  • Someone shows signs of physical or emotional distress
  • Someone feels isolated, alone, or friendless
  • Someone is showing hostility towards others

In emergency situations requiring immediate response, contact IUPD or 911.
