Academic Resource Center
Supporting your academic success
- Want someone to check your work?
- Need another set of eyes on your paper?
- Looking for ideas for your research project?
It's time to stop by the Academic Resource Center (ARC)! No appointments are necessary, just visit the ARC's website to see when a tutor in your subject is available. Tutors are available both in-person and over Zoom. Many tutors are students who have taken the same classes as you with the same instructors and can offer valuable insight, so don't be afraid to ask for help. Tutoring is available for the following subjects:
- Math (including all math courses offered at Ivy Tech and IU Columbus)
- Science (including anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biology, and statistics)
- Writing (including written assignments for any class, no matter the subject area)
- Communication & public speaking
- Business
Tutoring services at the Academic Resource Center ARC are included in the tuition of IU Columbus and Ivy Tech, and there is no additional charge. The ARC also provide test proctoring for make-up exams.
When you drop in
- If you are seeing a writing tutor for assistance, be prepared to stay and work through your paper with them. Papers may not be dropped off for review.
- Silence your devices before you begin a tutoring session.
