Adaptive Educational Services

Footstep One more step to get started on your journey

Accessible Educational Services (AES) are for anyone with a documented short- or long-term disability, including physical, emotional, and/or learning disabilities.

If you had an Individualized Education Program (IEP), a 504 plan, or other modifications in high school, you may benefit from AES at IU Columbus.

Some students are aware of the ways they may benefit from Accessible Educational Services such as classroom and testing modifications, adaptive equipment and technology,  and/or American Sign language (ASL) interpretation. Others, particularly those with hidden disabilities such as a chronic illness or a psychiatric challenge like depression or anxiety, may not recognize the ways AES could improve their educational experience. Take some time to read more and determine if AES could support your academic success.
