About Zoom
Zoom is a video conferencing tool used at IU so that you can meet with others in real-time via video. You might use Zoom to connect with an advisor before you start your first semester at IU.
After you've downloaded the Zoom application for your computer or mobile device, take some time to get comfortable with the following features of Zoom:

Using Zoom to prepare for your first semester
If you choose to meet with your academic advisor in an online appointment, your advisor will provide you with a link to access the Zoom room. It is important to access the Zoom room only at scheduled meeting times. You may receive instructions for your Zoom meeting that include the following:
- Zoom URL
- Meeting Time
- Meeting Day
- Other Instructions (e.g., what to do before the meeting)
If you have never joined a Zoom meeting before, review the video and/or written instructions from Zoom using the links above.
