Special Circumstance Waivers and Agreements

For most program arrangements, the standard Agreement & Release waiver form (see Appendix A) is appropriate. IU Education Abroad has worked with University Legal Counsel and IU Risk Management to prepare special agreements and waivers of liability on a case-by-case basis for unique circumstances that present added risk or involve individuals other than program participants, including travel to countries under travel advisories, high-risk program activities, and the presence of accompanying minors or others. If you believe a special circumstance exists for your program, it is of the utmost importance that you contact Education Abroad for additional details.  

Signed forms must be retained for three years post program. These can be saved by units or sent to Education Abroad to be archived.
