Week 1- Citizenship Essay

For this Req, you must write a two-page, double-spaced essay that outlines the meaning of citizenship from your point of view. I expect you to display (through your writing) that you have thought about the term "citizenship" enough to write a thoughtful (i.e., critical, deep, reflective, meaningful) response to this question: What does citizenship mean to you?
 
Here are a couple of things to think about while you plan your essay:

• What are some words that you associate with citizenship?
• What are some examples of citizenship that you have practiced or seen?

From these words and examples, construct a definition for citizenship and explain its role in your life and the world at large.

As long as you write a thoughtful essay that directly responds to the question, you will receive full credit. Again, this is the question that your essay must answer: What does citizenship mean to you?
