Finalize Civic Action Plan

It is time to wrap-up your Civic Action Plan and submit the complete and finalized version of it. By now, you should have already completed components 2-4, which just leaves your sections on strategies and allies and opponents, as well as your cover page, your references, and some thorough proofreading for spelling and grammar. It is recommended that you revise your sections based on the feedback that you received from your instructor and peers during previous modules.

Expectations for Each Component

1. Cover Page. Be sure to include your name, your issue, and an image representing your issue/stance.
2. Issue Introduction. A one-page statement that identifies the issue, explains its importance, provides historical context for it, identifies competing views, and states your stance.
3. Timeline. A one- to two-page bulleted outline that identifies major events and turning points in the issue’s history with three- to-five sentence descriptions of each. You are welcome to use images and other media to illustrate the events and turning points. Just be sure to cite your source if you did not create it!
4. Statement of Policy Goal. A one-page statement of your goal for the issue that identifies the exact policy outcome you would like to see enacted, including the level of government (international, federal, state, local) at which you would like to see it enacted, with an accompanying rationale. You are welcome to embed a video, image, graph, and/or chart to support your goal. Again, be sure to cite your source if you did not create it!
5. Strategies. An enumeration of at least five appropriate strategies for effectively achieving the policy goal articulated in the previous component. This is the most important component of the Action Plan and requires you  to call upon important information learned throughout the course. For each strategy, you must provide a five- to seven-sentence description and rationale.
6. Allies and Opponents. An enumeration of at least three groups you would consider allies and three groups you would consider opponents. For each group,  you must provide a paragraph that includes a description of the group, an explanation of why the group constitutes an ally or an opponent, and a statement of how to collaborate with the group (if it is an ally) or counter its activities (if it is an opponent).
7. References. A listing of all sources used in the creation of the Civic Action Plan, formatted in a citation style (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago) of your choosing. Each Civic Action Plan must include at least 5 academic references and 5 journalistic references.

Formatting
Your report should have a professional look about it, but you are free to format it in a way that makes the most sense to you. The only strict stipulation is that the required components be presented in the order that is outlined above. In other words, we should not have to search for any component. Please number all pages.
