DINNER AND A VOCABULARY QUIZ
For this Challenge, you will watch a film and hunt for the vocabulary of American public and civic life.

PREPARATION

Review the civics glossary at the Annenberg Institute for Civics at the University of Pennsylvania Links to an external site.. These are the terms you need to look for while viewing your chosen film.

ACTION
While viewing the film, identify five vocabulary terms related to American public and civic life. For each of the five terms you identify, you must provide:

A few sentences of Context for the scene in which it was used.

A full Quote or statement in which the term was used and bold the term. Note: if the actual term was not used, just provide the sentence(s) in which the concept was used and put the term at the end of the sentence(s) in parentheses.

In 3-5 sentences, explain how the term’s use in the movie contributes to your understanding of the term as part of the vocabulary of American public and civic life.
