Module One: Comic Heroes Unmasked

Please watch the video attached at the bottom of this page.  (I would highly recommend taking detailed notes from the video as questions may arise in the essay Exam I from the content discussed.  You will not have time to watch the video and take the exam at the same time as it's timed.)  Answer the following questions after you watch the video:

1) Who is your favorite writer/creator of comics discussed in the video?  Why?  Discuss one comic book and talk about the origins of the comic creator - did they attend art classes as training for the profession, how did he/she get their start in comics?  What is the general story for the comic you chose?  

2) Discuss at least five elements of art and principles of design used in the comic you chose.  You only need to chose a few panels to discuss.  A powerpoint presentation is attached below for your reference as to what these terms mean.  You will discuss how they are used specifically in the comic you chose.

In responding to classmate's posts.  Provide additional information not already discussed in their original post.  Be sure to check the syllabus for expectations regarding length of both your original post and length expected for comments made to classmate's posts.  Original posts in answering the questions above are due on Wednesday, comments made to classmate's posts are due on Sunday.
