1.) Familiarize yourself with the chart on the second page of Trainability in Children pt 1 titled "Normal Growth Patterns" and understand the concept. Explain what the chart is showing and why it is significant with regards to physical activity in youth and program design (what you should expect to see from the information).
2) How will physical activity programs differ between children who are prepubescent vs. postpubescent and why? According to the reading, what is the best way to tell which category a child falls into?
3) Identify 2 primary fitness characteristics and how physical activity in youth can promote a response in each.
4) From Designed to Move: This article talks about the age appropriate activities that we might plan. Explain, according to the reading, what the focus should be for a younger child vs. an adolescent.
5) At this point, we have seen plenty of information on how to work with a child to promote physical activity. Do you feel prepared? Why or why not? How are you feeling about the project, and is there anything that you feel would help you be more prepared?
6) Tell us how you are going to approach each session with your client.
