Special Occasion Speech

You are to deliver a 1 - 2 minute speech for a special occasion.  

Select one ceremonial occasion for which your speech is prepared for delivery: award presentations as the recipient or giver of an award; commemorating an event, institution or individual; or an entertainment speech such as a roast or after-dinner speech.

Embellish the speech with beautiful language using stylistic devices such as metaphors, similes, and so forth. 

Your speech must include an introduction, thesis, conclusion, at least one of each type of form of support (example, statistic, testimony) properly cited, the proper number of coordinate and subordinate points in the body of your speech, and transitions before your coordinate and subordinate points.  

You are allowed 10 seconds leeway in the timing of your speech.  Any amount of time spent under or over the time limits will impact your grade.
