Ethical Dilemma Exercise

Ethical dilemmas are situations in which one person must make a moral decision about what to do.  Either the choice is unclear or the right choice will be difficult because of the costs involved. Describe a personal example of an ethical dilemma you have faced in the past. What options were available to you?  Who was affected by your decision?  What were the costs or harm done to you or to others?  Where there any rules, laws, or guidelines that affected your decision?  Explain the issues, the moral considerations behind the choices you were faced with, the reasoning behind your choice, and the outcome of your decision.
