Film Discussion Analysis 3
C103 - Love, Race and Conquest
10% of final grade
Due Tuesday, December 15th at 3:00 am (electronic copy)
In the last five weeks of the course, we have seen four feature length films that have exposed you to a number of ideas about myth, love, race, and conquest. Using a specific example from each of the films, describe in your own words how your chosen scene exemplifies an aspect of ‘multiculturalism’ that has been discussed in lecture and discussion section. You must analyze or explain how each film scene you selected exemplifies multiculturalism as discussed in lecture. Note, each filmic example or scene does not have to be the same aspect of multiculturalism. Make sure you tie all of your examples together using a common theme you learned about in lecture. Write in proper essay format, with a brief introduction and conclusion.
Your paper should be:
- 500-700 words (do not exceed 700 words)
- 12 pt. font
- Double-spaced
- Include your name, class information, and date
- Grammatically correct and without spelling errors
- Turn in an electronic copy on Canvas only
Late policy:
Exceptions can be made to the policy by submitting a request for an exemption to the TA. This request must be submitted within three days of the due date and must include a 500 word description of the hospitalization, medical or personal emergency that prevented the student from completing the assignment. It should include why the student could not complete the assignment by the due date and an explanation of how the time was spent between when the assignment was given to students and the due date of the assignment. It is also necessary to supply a third party verification that confirms what is stated in the request narrative.
