These are the Four Main Goals for the Introduction Speech:
1. Practice and demonstrate your public speaking skills.
2. Make choices about your presentation to improve its clarity and effectiveness.
3. Learn about your classmates.
4. Introduce yourself to some of the tools we will use for all speeches.
Read the directions for these speeches on pages 23 - 30 of your textbook. We will select one or more of these speeches to present in class. You will need to prepare an outline for this speech.
The speech will be 2-3 minutes in length and you may use one note card.
