The required book for the class is: Characteristics of Games Links to an external site., by Elias, Garfield, and Gutschera. I call the book "EGG" on the syllabus. You should read each chapter by the time indicated in the Syllabus. After that point, you will start to see quiz questions on the chapter content.

Every student will have to buy two games. Go to the Game Sign-Up page to select the games you will buy. Order your games as soon as you sign up, because it takes time to get them in. It is your responsibility to buy the games you signed up for, bring them to class on their assigned day, and help teach them to the other students in your game team.
