The Barber of Seville Analysis Using Burke's Pentad

I have added at least three links below that you can look at and synthesize your thoughts on how The Barber of Seville could be seen through Kenneth Burke's Dramatist Pentad.
"Dramatism answers the empirical question of how persons explain their actions" (Overington, M. (1977). Kenneth Burke and the Method of Dramatism. Theory and Society, 4, 131-156.) In Burke's view life is drama, and art can be considered the communication of someone's life.
As we went through in class, each character in The Barber of Seville had a story, a narrative that played through actions, costume, music, and attitude within the opera.
Take one character and analyze their actions and musical performance by using Burke's Dramatic Pentad: Act, scene, agent, agency, and purpose.

(This is a sign up site so just use the free stuff on the first page). Don't just name the part of the Pentad you identify in your character, but explain why you feel that way and back it up with some other reference.
Look for 4 references that show your take on the who, why, where, how, and what for a particular Barber of Seville character, or try to see what the whole thing means to you.
