College's Committment to Diversity and Equity

Renton Technical College promotes an environment free of discrimination and harassment and is committed to providing a welcoming environment. Over the past year, Renton Technical College has been rewriting the Student Conduct Code and Hearing Procedures.  The state community and technical colleges’ Assistant Attorney Generals have been assisting the Washington State Student Services Commission members to ensure that the codes and hearing procedures are compliant with federal law including Title IX and Violence Against Women Act. It is important that employees, volunteers, applicants and others who have an actual or prospective relationship with the College be able to conduct business and/or work in an environment free from discrimination and harassment. All College community members must have an avenue for addressing concerns or complaints of discrimination or harassment. Everyone must understand that  discrimination and harassment is an unacceptable practice and will not be tolerated in the workplace and on our College campus.
