Areas of the NSLRC available and what they may be used for (BSN and MSN students):

  • Front Lab - Skills  (I would recommend groups no larger that 10-12 but there is no limit to numbers)
  • Back Lab - Simulations only
  • Clinic Exam Rooms (4) - Skills practice, Physical Assessment 
  • Lucina - OB & Adult health
  • Noelle - OB

 

**MSN have priority for reservations for the Front Lab and Clinic Exam Rooms on Tuesdays from 2pm to 8pm

***B249 has priority for reservations for the Front Lab in the Spring semester and SSII

 

To make a lab reservation, please include the following:

1.  Course Number

2.  Faculty who will be with the students for the day/time being reserved, if not the faculty making the request.

3.  List of supplies needed

 

NOTE:

  • If there is a conflict of when spaces are requested, the situation will be referred back to the faculty making the conflicting requests requests to resolve the issue.
  • If the lab is not available for reservation on the dates that you have selected, Raintree Hall 105 (has tables) and 109 (has desks) are available.  Both rooms have projectors if needed and there is a storage space in between both rooms with a one-way mirror for observation. Brenda can assist you with reserving the room(s). 
  • Equipment needed can be taken to Raintree Hall, the exception would be the high fidelity manikins.  Assistance would be given in the transport and return.
  • Please understand that students cannot be in the lab without faculty supervision.  Open lab hours will be made available to students with either Jo Newman or other designated lab assistant personnel. 
  • Faculty will need to make arrangements to be present if students need access to the lab outside open lab hours.
