2) Course Organization

This course is organized into weekly modules on Canvas. In each module, there will be two parts: Lecture and Lab. Each part will consist of activities and materials for the week. Typical activities listed on the modules include:

  • Reading assignments, which are labeled with "READ:"
  • Participation activities, which are labeled with "PARTICIPATE:"
  • Lecture/lab quizzes, which are labeled with "QUIZ:"
  • Lab exercises, which are labeled with "EXERCISE:"

Note that the actual content of lecture quizzes (except for Quiz 1: Syllabus and Expectations), lab quizzes, and lab exercises are posted on the MyITLab course site. The corresponding items in the Canvas modules will provide you information for navigating to the actual content on MyITlab.  

There is an additional module, External Tools, that contains links to tools outside of Canvas we frequently use, including MyITLab and Zoom.

Your grades for the lecture quizzes (except for Quiz 1: Syllabus and Expectations), lab quizzes, and lab exercises will be posted on MyITLab.

Your grades for participation and exams will be posted on Canvas.
