Account Creation

New Students

To create an account in Genius, you must first have an IU Guest account. You can create your IU Guest account here. Links to an external site. Please note that the student's legal name must be used when creating the account, not that of the parent/legal guardian. Simply fill in the requested information and click the 'Account Create' button. You will soon receive an e-mail from ithelp@iu.edu. Follow the e-mailed instructions to confirm your new account. When successful, you should see the page shown below.

 

To create your Genius account, go to https://iuhs-genius.indiana.edu/ Links to an external site. and click 'Student Login'. Login using your IU Guest account username (the e-mail address you used) and password. Then fill in all of the requested information on the 'Account Creation' page. Parents/Guardians completing the information for their children should keep in mind to enter the name, date of birth etc. of the student, not their own.
Note that if you intend to include a guardian, you can include that information as well.
Finally, click 'Submit'.

 

Former Students

If you had an account in the previous IUHS information system (Dragon), your student data has already been copied to Genius. Please contact the IUHS office (at iuhs@iu.edu or call us at 800.334.1011) to learn how to get access to your account.
