IU Guest Account

To create an IU Guest Account, click here Links to an external site. and fill in the requested information.

The name you enter here will eventually be transferred to the Genius system, so be sure it is accurate and complete. This should be the name of the student being enrolled, not a parent or guardian.

The e-mail address you enter will eventually act as your Genius username, and will be used to uniquely identify you. Similarly, the password you choose will become your Genius password. Do not lose or forget the username and password you choose. Nor should you share your password with anyone.

Click the 'Account Create' button. You should shortly receive an e-mail from ithelp@iu.edu asking you to confirm your new account. (You may need to look in your 'spam' or 'junk' folder, depending on your e-mail provider.) Follow the instructions in the e-mail.

 

You now have an IU Guest Account, and can go on to login to Genius Links to an external site. and create your Genius account, or proceed to register for an IUHS course Links to an external site.. Be sure to check out this guide to logging in.
