PSA Reflection Paper December 3rd
The purpose of the paper is for you to describe how you have applied concepts from this course to the development of your PSA, and to present the evidence and resources used in your PSA. The paper will have the following section headings. When writing each section you should consider the questions posed:
Introduction to the topic: What is the main issue or topic of your PSA? What is the scope of the problem? Whom does it affect? Why is this topic important? Cite facts and statistics to support your claims.About 500 words or 2 double-spaced, typed pages
Brief description of the PSA: How was it created? Did someone other than you participate (as an actor, narrator, videographer)? What was the process (i.e., what, when, where, how)?About 250 words or 1 double-spaced, typed page
Application of course concepts: What specific course concepts were applied to the making of this PSA and how? (e.g., Health Promotion Model, consumer rights/responsibilities, influences on decision-making, legal/ethical issues, health literacy, culturally appropriate communication, etc.). Be specific and explicit.About 500 words or 2 double-spaced, typed pages
References:List all references cited in the text of your paper. A separate list of resources used, but not explicitly cited in the paper can be labeled “Bibliography.”
The paper should be typed, double-spaced, with 12-point font (Times New Roman suggested) and in APA format. The length should be about 1,250 words (5 pages) not counting the reference page. For information on APA format, please see the APA guide at the following URL: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. Alludes to or implies the main topic or issue. Description of the scope of the problem is incomplete or vague, with minimal facts and statistics cited to support it. Identifies the target population but does not does not explain the importance of the topic to that population. Supports a few, but not all, assertions with referenced data/facts/statistics.
