Instructions

This quiz is an exercise in noting how much information is being put out there in your related interest areas.  The idea is to come up with subject terms that describe a recent article you read, and then search those terms on facebook, instagram, twitter, or any other site you frequent. It might take several search iterations to figure out what tags people tend to use when talking about these subjects.

Search and re-search for hashtags.

Note what information is being presented as fact.

Note in which ways the original poster is showing they have the information authority to state such facts.

SIFT Method is broken down into Stop, Investigate the source, Find better coverage, Trace claims

If they cite their sources, can you find and read the same source they did?

This is a timed exercise to make sure that you don't fall too deep into a rabbit hole of information, which is very easy to do.
