Dear Class,

Welcome to G522 Counseling Theory.  You'll find the syllabus attached; no need to have any readings completed prior to our first meeting.

This is a demanding course as the readings are rather dense.  However, I will address how best to manage the density when we meet on the first day of class.

Importantly, this can be a very enjoyable class.  You will learn how practitioners use theory --- and often, a variety of theories and strategies --- to help people navigate the changes that make their lives more liveable.
