May 2020 English Graduation
CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!!
You did it. It's not the graduation you expected but, nevertheless, it's a graduation to CELEBRATE!
Please open the Kaltura Media Gallery on the left and watch the videos we've uploaded. There's an address from the Chair of English, Patty Ingham, a reading from Prof. Ross Gay from his Book of Delights, a reading from award-winning student poet, Genevieve Marvin, and a letter to you from our class valedictorian, Tiffany Xie. And also: the graduation roll! Watch the class of 2020 in our substitute for the in-person ceremony, imagine a handshake, and enjoy the august melody of "Pomp and Circumstance." Plan a party around it (even if it's a Zoom party), dress up, and hoot and holler when your name appears on the screen. Make this event something to remember (so bake a cake)!!
With all best wishes to you and your loved ones,
the faculty and staff of the IU English Department
