Curation is the act of bringing different pieces together into a cohesive whole, much like objects are curated into an exhibit. Curation is an important practice--when done mindfully, intentionally, and culturally responsively--as a teacher. Curation as a skill has an important place in the national technology standards both for students and for educators.

Your task at this point is to find two to three lesson plans that help you and your students address your topic, explore your essential question, and provide experiences to build towards your learning objectives.

Here are the sources of lesson plans from which to draw:

Explore these sources carefully and mindfully. Although the lesson plans may not be an exact fit, keep an open mind in terms of the lessons themselves and in terms of revising your essential questions and learning objectives.

It is also useful to dig into the experiences of teachers engaged in this work. Rethinking Schools Magazine features essays and articles written by teachers reflecting on their work and ongoing practices in terms of cultural relevant teaching and curriculum design.

Please submit links to three different lesson plans from the list of sources above that you feel fit well with your Topic, Essential Question, and Learning Objectives. Remember that you do not need to write your own lesson plans, and that you will be writing about these connections on the website you are creating.
