Estimated Trip Costs and Funding (see modules for full details)

  • Estimated cost per person:  $3700.00  $1475.00 Max out of pocket for IU East students with support from HSS and Campus.
    • School of Humanities and Social Sciences:  Funding $1300/student (up to 10)
    • IU East Campus:  Funding $925/student (up to 8)
  • Students may apply for several internal and external scholarships to offset costs

Brief Video Overview

Study Abroad Description

The program is divided into three phases:

1)  Online Instruction (asynchronous with some synchronous meetings) July 3 to July 21, 2023

2) Travel dates: July 22 through Aug 4, 2023

3)  Online class meetings (asynchronous with some synchronous):  Aug 6 to Aug 13.

  • Semester:  Summer 2, 2023
  • Online Course:  SOC S360-Topics, Ancient Cultures of England and Scotland
  • Minimum pre-requisite: SOC-S100 or ANTH A104
  • Minimum GPA:  3.0 (or consent of instructors)
