Patrick Quinn, Ph.D.
Patrick D. Quinn, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014. His research is dedicated to understanding the public health impact of the use and misuse of psychoactive drugs, using longitudinal data on individuals and families and methods from epidemiology and behavioral genetics. In particular, he has established lines of research that leverage large-scale healthcare data to assess adverse outcomes associated with opioid prescribing in the management of acute and chronic pain, as well as the benefits and harms of pharmacologic treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). His work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
