Welcome to India Study Abroad

The primary goal of this study abroad trip to New Delhi and Kochi is to deepen the students’ understanding of development, global competition, and entrepreneurship, by immersing them in the economy, business, historic sites, and culture of India.  The students will demonstrate their understanding by submitting a detailed report of their trip to be submitted after their trip.  They will also complete a presentation with local university students at Rajagiri  An analysis of BRICS country of student choice will be studied.     Additional goals include expanding students’ worldviews and developing a global perspective.  These goals will be discussed explicitly with the class and reflections on these topics will be included in the assignments for the course.

  • Equip IU students with knowledge and skills to engage with contemporary issues of growth & globalization first-hand
  • Inspire IU students to identify and engage with global connections to their local communities.
