Syllabus for SICE-Y 100: Exploring Tech Pathways

Course Description:

Technology is everywhere, and how it relates to the world today is very important to the future. This interactive course will offer students the opportunity to explore the many academic / career pathways available specifically through Luddy, as well as within the broader technology workforce, with a focus on self-reflection.

 

Meeting Dates: (1st 8 weeks) Tuesdays 2:20-3:35 in SPEA (PV) A221

Course delivery method: In-person

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completing this course, you should be able to: 

  • Explain the similarities and differences among the SICE academic/career pathways 
  • Engage in the academic/career design process by designing a plan that incorporates tech 
  • Articulate your individual traits in relation to your academic/career interests  
  • Describe the various skills used in tech careers by applying industry knowledge 
  • Identify and utilize SICE resources, classes, and services
