Welcome!
The class covers a great deal of information about pay and pay practices, but there is some basic info on benefits and perks that can go along with compensation packages that hopefully, will allow to you better evaluate your own compensation in the future. We will also be covering laws that help protect your benefits and pay, how employers construct pay systems and create better value for organization and the employees. We will also take a look at many of the changes currently taking place in compensation as well as the job market, and, what challenges you may have to face in your own employment in the coming years.
This can be an informative and helpful class in the "real world" if you take the time and energy to engage. I look forward to working with each of you during this semester!
