Activity

Most weeks, you'll be attending the PAPF and/or the G&M speaker series. When there is not a speaker, we will do professional development workshops. Occassionally, these will require an out of class assignment.

Speaker Series Technology Ban

The purpose of the guest speakers is for you to learn how academic seminars operate as part of the "hidden curriculum." This requires you pay attention to the speaker and the interaction with the audience. Therefore, during weeks with guest speakers for PAPF/G&M, you are to have your attention on this. No personal devices or other work that distracts you from the conversation. You cannot have a laptop, tablet, mobile device, journal articles to read, or homework problems to solve. You can remain accessible for emergency calls through your phone, although it should be silenced to not disturb the speaker.

Grading/Attendance

You must attend the workshop and complete any assignments according to the schedule below in order to receive a "Pass" in V791. I will take attendance each week. You should contact me if you seek an excused absence (e.g. attending conference, emergency, etc.).

The weekly meeting schedule will be posted when finalized.
